Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dynamic Dino we love our chomp & count Dino. Our daughter loves to feed him "num nums" and has no problem identifying the foods. We are working on the counting. We were provided this product to review by VTech

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love that the pieces can be stored in the Dino! My three-year old daughter absolutely loves this toy. Not only can she sit down and feed the dino food as it requests it, she can pull it around the house using the pull string. She has this love for toys that she can pull behind her which makes this her new favorite pull-along toy. This toy conveniently stores all of the pieces which is a HUGE plus. Disclosure: I received this toy from Vtech to facilitate my review. Regardless of compensation, my opinion is honest and my own.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent for Fine Motor Skills and Learning We were provided this toy for review. My son really likes the Chomp & Count Dino. I had to show him how to put the “food” in the dino’s mouth but once we did it a few times, he quickly figure it out. The "food" pieces are a little difficult for his little hands to push up but he will turn the toy upside down and shove them all the way in. Once he feeds the dino, heimmediately opens the door to see if they are in there. Great for teaching object permanence. He also loves to pull the dino around on the string. Dino plays all sorts of fun sounds and songs and will guide the child towards particular colors and pictures.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun for Toddlers and Beyond Unfortunately, my 22 month old doesn’t yet have the patience or desire to sit and play with the Chomp & Count Dino. :( (Boy, his mom sure wishes he’d sit and play with toys!) It is nothing against the Chomp and Count Dino. Unless he can ride it or throw it, he doesn't play with it. My 4 year old, on the other hand, thinks it is a blast! He is completely in awe that the dinosaur knows exactly what it is being fed. My son thinks he is sneaky and tries to hide the food piece as he puts it into the Dino’s mouth, but Chomp & Count Dino always seems to know. I really like that they’ve included a pull string and wheels on the bottom. When you have a toy that can serve more than one purpose it means more fun for kids and fewer toys around the house! Disclosure: I received a VTech Chomp and Count Dino toy in exchange for an honest review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Great VTech Learning Toy - must have!! Disclosure: I was provided a sample to review by VTech. The VTech® Chomp & Count Dino is for ages 12 through 36 months and I can definitely see my daughter playing with this one for some time to come. She will be able to learn colors, numbers as well as food. There are 8 pieces, each a different color with a different food on it. Each time she sticks the pieces of ‘food’ into the dino’s mouth he recognizes what he is eating; he counts the number of pieces you’ve fed him, and is able to ask you to give him specific colors/foods. As she gets older she’ll be able to answer the questions that Dino asks when you push the question mark on his head. Also, on the side of the VTech® Chomp & Count Dino there are 5 shape buttons which teach shapes and numbers, then you can spin the disc on your dino’s back and he will play sing-along songs. The dino can also be pushed or pulled by a string for even more fun melodies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BOTH my kiddos LOVE this! I received the Chomp & Count Dino to provide a review on my blog. BOTH (almost 4 years old & 8 months old) my kiddos are enjoying learning about colors, numbers and food with the adorable new Chomp & Count Dino. Simply place one of the eight brightly-colored play pieces in the dino’s mouth and he is suppose to recognize each piece (there are 8 total) but sometimes he mixes them up. I love this toy because there was no assembly required and batteries were included. :D Kiddos can either play in food or counting mode and the dino responds with rewarding sounds and phrases all while introducing colors, numbers, shapes and more. Press the question button and kids can answer the dino’s questions to show what they’ve learned. The dino can also be pushed or pulled by a string for even more fun melodies. I'm not a fan of strings for babies, but this toy is technically of babies at least 12 months or older. My daughter loves pulling it along.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comping Fun! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own and I never recommend something I would not use. The VTech® Chomp & Count Dino™ is a great toy that can grow with your child. While the recommended age is 12-36 months, I think that it would be entertaining for an infant once they have learned to sit alone with direct parent supervision. The disks are large which makes them easy to hold by little hands and impossible to swallow. My son (2.5 years old) has a lot of fun feeding the Dino and then pulling the disks from his belly. It small and portable which is great for day trips. The dino has an optional pull string that secures to the bottom when you don’t want to have it laying around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun for Toddlers This toy has been played with the most from my toddlers. They love feeding the dino and their eyes light up when they get something right. The songs are fun and I love that it's introducing them to colors, shapes and numbers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun and educational Isn’t this little dino adorable? He is not only cute but teaches toddlers numbers, colors, shapes, and food/eating. The buttons light up, plays over 130 songs/phrases, and so much more! The dino even asks your child questions where they will have to “feed” the correct food piece. Love that! A fun easy way for them to learn! The dino also comes with a string so kids can pull him along wherever they go! I received this product for review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for little ones to grow with My daughter (16mo) loves this toy. She was able to quickly learn how it works as far as taking the "Coins" from the belly of the toy and putting them in its mouth. She doesn't get the color/number/name of food concept yet, but the great thing is that this toy will definitely help her learn as she grows. Excellent product all around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly Entertaining! **Product received from VTech in exchange for honest review. Honestly, when I saw this toy lined up next to the others. it didn't look nearly as exciting! I mean feed a dino or put on a show, which sounds more entertaining? While my daughter did initially gravitate towards the larger toys, after the initial newness wore off I found she went back to this one more and more. She has an obsession with putting toys/objects into baskets, shoes, anything with an opening, so really this was right up her alley as well. She found putting each little 'coin' into the dino's mouth highly entertaining. Of course, I loved that again, as with the other Vtech toys, it was very educational. As she plays, she will continue to learn about colors, numbers and various types of foods. Now, she's not much for pull toys so she could care less about the pull string, but I can imagine that my son at that age would have loved that feature as well!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun learning experience The play pieces fit into the Dino’s mouth easy enough and the buttons were bright and easy to press/play. The string attached for it to be pulled around also worked great. The lone fault that I found with this was that the trap door that should hold the play pieces in the Dino didn’t stay shut all that well. The thing that I love about toys like this are they really encourage counting and learning colors. For that, this really did the job very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much fun learning colors, numbers and shapes! With the Chomp & Count Dino we can feed the hungry dino and listen as he recognizes the pieces. I like that this toy teaches colors and numbers, and that it provides endless fun for toddlers. We can switch back and forth with the counting mode and the food modes, while we listen to the words and phrases the dino says as he teaches colors, numbers, shapes and more, making the Chomp & Count Dino a great toy for the toddler in your life!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun toy for toddlers and young preschoolers! I was provided with a sample to review by VTech. This is a great toy for toddlers and young preschoolers. My daughter is 3 but my nephews (age 13 months and 4) have a blast playing with the Dino as well. The older kids like "feeding" the Dino and playing the games it features when you press the question mark on top of the Dino's head. I was honestly surprised at how much they enjoyed playing with it with them being older and out of the age range that the toy is geared for. My 13 month old nephew likes playing around with the buttons on the Dino's belly and hearing the sounds it makes. As a parent, I love that this promotes color, number and shape recognition. The belly of the dino is great for storage of the 8 play pieces the toy comes with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chomp & Count for the win The Chomp & Count is my currently my favorite vtech product for my 9 month old. He loves that it lights up and sings, and he even tries to chomp the food coins. I like this toy because it works for older babies to toddlers by asking to be fed, and learning about colors as well as helping to teach the older ones all while lighting up and signing for the little ones. I've actually picked this up for a few 1st birthday's we have coming up, it makes a great gift. I was provided a sample of the Chomp & Count for review, but all opinions are my own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Funtastic Way To Learn Numbers We received the Chomp and Count Dino from VTech for review at our family blog, and it brought cheers from both our toddler and her five-year-old brother. What a fun toy for the little one, because it encourages learning of the basics, while keeping the little ones having fun. With more than 130 songs, melodies, sounds and phrases, the VTech Chomp & Count Dino is definitely a hit around here, and the fact that it can recognize the colors and foods that our little one feeds it just makes for even more impressive cheers. At 20 months old our Bellamy Blue is getting big on learning her colors and numbers, and the VTech Chomp and Count Dino has been a perfect tool for her to learn her basics. It has 2 play modes in either a counting mode or a food mode, and by spinning the disk on the top of the dino's back, you can play different melodies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun for Toddlers and Older I received this toy for a review. It teaches numbers, shapes, food and colors and is a great interactive toy that covers quite a large age range- 6-36 months. Eight 'healthy food' discs are included and are designed to be fed to the dino at any time to trigger a song about the food (like an apple). You can also press the large red question mark button on his head and it will ask for a specific food, and cheer if the right disc gets inserted. There's a little compartment at the bottom to hold the discs, and the dino can be pulled along by a string. I think my 18 month old daughter liked this one the best because you can put the discs in and they come out. She has repeatedly put them in and laughed hysterically when they came out the bottom. The discs are big enough that I do not worry about her trying to eat them or stick them through the fire place grate. My older son talks about the 'food' you are feeding the dino and how he 'LOVES' apples or whatever food it is

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chomp chomp chomp! My 19 month old daughter loves this dino! With 8 colorful coins, you can "feed" the dino, play games, and sing songs. The dino can actually distinguish between the different food coins, singing and responding appropriately depending on what it is fed or which buttons are pressed. This reinforces color, food, number, and shape recognition. With a pull along string, this is a classic toy with a twist that encourages learning as well as fine motor skill development. We received a sample of this product from VTech at no cost for review purposes, but all thoughts and comments are my own. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fine Motor Fun We received this toy on behalf of VTech and my toddler has really enjoyed it! The "food" pieces are colorful and just the right size for her little hand but large enough to not pose a choking hazard to the baby. She can practice fine motor skills and the pieces are stored in the belly of the Dino for easy cleanup which in my opinion is awesome!! Great toy, great value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Toddler's Absolute Favorite Toy by VTech This is by far one of my toddlers favorite toy. This not only teaches colors, numbers and foods but it delights her with a fun song that she's trying to sing along to now as well. One of the things I love about this is that it actually stores all the pieces in his "tummy" so that they're not lost and we can find them easy again for the next time we play. The pieces are small enough for her little hands and are easy to insert into his mouth without problems. She is now counting along as well whenever we use the 123 mode and I've noticed that her counting has gotten a lot better. It does come with a pull along string that she pulls whenever she wants to take him for a walk and it's adorable to look at.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Small Ones! This is really a super interactive toy! My twins love this and it is by far one of my personal favorites. Feeding the dino is super fun and using the coins are very easy for their small hands to grasp. The dino has rolling wheels so they can pull him around and they love to dance along with the healthy food tunes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feeding fun and learning Dino! I received this toy for free in order to share an honest review of the product. The Chomp & Count Dino is ideal for ages ranging from 12 months-3 years of age but I often catch my 6 year old playing with this toy. This cute little dinosaur can be played in either meal mode or count mode. It comes with fruit and veggies to feed the dino a healthy snack. The Chomp & Count Dino has shape buttons with numbers on them that are fun for the kids to press and learn. I was very surprised to see how much all three of my kids love this toy. All three of them continue to play with this cute dino on a regular basis. They love the colorful food discs and the fun sounds and phrases the dino makes with each feeding or pressed button. My 18 month old will open her mouth when feeding it and make chomping sounds when the food falls inside its tummy. It has two volume levels as well as an off option. There is also a string attached to the dino that allows your little one to pull the dino along.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Toy! This was a really fun toy! It did take some getting used to at first, but I think that my son was slightly too young for it when we first started playing with it (11 months versus the recommended 12-36). That being said, I think that it was great for his grasp and dexterity to practice picking up the pieces to put into the dino's mouth! This toy gets more and more use every day. It is so much fun to watch him respond to colors and learn step-by-step how to "feed" the dinosaur. This is going to be one of our favorites as we move forward with learning colors and shapes. Another great feature of this toy is the attached string. Such a simple addition, but he loves to push and pull anything he can. The dinosaur has wheels on the bottom making it easy to push or pull across the floor. The only trouble I had was keeping track of all the food pieces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Pet Dino for my toddler This toy really keeps my toddler and occupied. He loves feeding the dino with the different play pieces that came with it. He loves pulling the string and loves to pretend its his pet dino. It also helps him learn how to count and learn colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very interactive This is very interactive, with a good amount of different things to do, especially for being so small and compact! Feeding an animal is always a fun activity, and these coins are large and easy for a 12 month old to grasp. I like how this activity incorporates shapes, colors, numbers, and different kinds of food. I really appreciate having a built-in storage option for all these small pieces. There are rolling wheels beneath the front feet and a pull string so that this now becomes a pull-along toy. My 2.5 year old is really excited about this! Even though my 4 year old is competent in his colors, numbers 1 through 5, and foods, he still finds it fun to feed the dinosaur and follow requests. The toy really holds the attention of toddlers well! I still think I'm most pleased with the size of this toy, since it can do a lot of things while not taking up a lot of space, and I am thrilled that it encourages eating healthy fruits and vegetables!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun and Educational Best Friend! **I received a complimentary toy for a review.** This color eating cutey is now the most played with toy in the house. Kids are able to learn about colors, foods, and numbers, as well as practice their fine motor skills as they feed Dino colorful food pieces. Dino plays 130+ songs, melodies, sounds, and phrases. The toy came with batteries and was completely assembled. One of the things I love about this toy is that it actually stores all the pieces in his "tummy" so that they're not lost and we can find them easy again for the next time we play. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Much Dino Fun! *I received a complimentary toy for a blog review. This is such a fun interactive toy and there's a lot of play packed into it. Kids learn about cause and effect as they feed the dino. It's so cute to see your child's face light up as they see the dino react to everything they do. It's not just passive learning as your child can also answer questions posed by the dino. Besides teaching basic concepts like colors and counting, it also plays music and is also a pull along toy so your child can also have fun taking the dino for a walk. I also appreciate how all the pieces can be stored inside of the dino so they don't go missing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cute toy both of my boys loved! This toy was sent to us by VTech for our review. My two boys (10 months and 4 years) have both enjoyed this toy. The baby isn't really old enough to get the toy yet, but the pieces are large enough, I don't have to worry about him putting them in his mouth when he and his brother are playing with it together. He is still being exposed to bright colors as well as shapes, numbers, and counting. My older son is reinforcing these concepts when he plays with the Chomp and Count Dino!
