Exper Advice & Parenting Tips

One Small Step for Baby Kind

If there’s one thing parents notice most about their baby’s development, it is the remarkably rapid emergence of motor skills. Imagine starting out as a helpless little slugger, all kicks and jabs, but without the strength or control to even roll over in your crib! And yet, by just one year of age, most infants are able to walk independently—a feat of coordination, strength, and agility that is light years ahead of where they started at birth. How do they do it?

Where does intelligence come from? Studies reveal that infants know a lot more than we used to think, and for good reason

Reviews

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 81 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor choice of songs It comes on with the slightest touch and drains the batteries. After all the controversy over the "ice cream truck song" why was this tune included? I returned the product for a refund and will not purchase another Vtech toy again. It's not always about race but about sensitivity to diversity. December 27, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by My daughters like it My daughters like the toy they dance and song along with the songs but for a toddler learninf how to walk even on the hardest level of the wheels it still goes way to fast for her which is not good she will fall because its too fast. December 10, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Does not work as specified I bought this product for my 9 month old granddaughter to help her stand and then try to walk. From the first time she tried using it to the present, she pulls it backwards on herself and she falls with the toy on top of her. It continued to do this even when we adjusted the wheels. The removable electronic board section of it, however, is quite entertaining. Did not return this item since she loved this part of it. September 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great First Learning Toy for babies to toddlers I bought this for my granddaughter because I always used vtech toys for my son when he was a baby to young boy. We just love it. My granddaughter is just 6 months old and loves to play with it. She is pulling herself up to touch all the parts and delights in how it lights up. We prop it up against the couch so it does not move & put the couch cushions & big pillows all around her becasue she is not stable enough to stand by herself and tips over into the cushions and excitedly gets back to the toy. This toy is a great learning toy that grows with them from crawling to walking and as she learns more she will be able to use it for learning shapes, numbers and colors, etc. January 29, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Lots of buttons and activities My son loved this toy from day one. He's 16 months and still pushes it around the house and loves playing with it. The sound went out after a few months of having the toy. The lights and everything on it work, but no sound. Changed the batteries and still nothing. Kind of upsetting that it's not that old of a toy and is not mistreated and it's already broken. I like all of the features and music it has, but not the fact that it broke not that long into owning it. January 14, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Doesn't work My daughter absolutely loves this BUT it stopped working after 3 weeks. The lights work but the sound is gone! My daughter's face when trying to play with and it doesn't work is hurt breaking! January 10, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love except for one thing I love that this toy has solfege on the piano keys, but the 5th note is supposed to be 'sol' not 'so'. So it's technically not correct I might sharpie in the 'l'. Otherwise, great toy! My 9 month old loves it. December 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by The product is great! The product is great. It helped my son walked faster. The toy is sturdy and user friendly December 22, 2015
