I bought this for my 2 year old son for Christmas and do not regret it. the mouse is hard for him to use right now, but this is also rated for 3 and up, so I'm not disapointed. He quickly learned how to turn it on and off and pack it up and carry it around. It has been dropped a couple times and it still works great and no visible damage. Even if he doesn't know how to run the programs right now, he is still learning as no matter where you are if you hit the letters/numbers the 'computer' says what they are. Very pleased as I always have been with vtech!!

My 19-month old got this as a Christmas gift from his grandparents because he already loves electronics and pressing buttons. While I feel this is decent enough for his age group I am also disappointed with the quality. The actual computer screen is very small (3" x 1 1/2") and difficult to see - I wish it were brighter. The 'mouse' is pretty much useless - the top feels like it is going to break off. I have not accessed any of the downloadable features yet so I can not speak for that feature. It is easy for my son to carry and a nice supplement to what he is already learning at home. Overall I would give this a C+ Oh, and for those confused or unsure of the location of the activity button(s); they are the six buttons above the row of numbers. For example 'Music Party', 'Logic & Games', etc.

My daughter is in the "throw everything i get my hands on" Stage and after every time she throws the TOTE AND GO LAPTOP IM CONVINCED ITS BROKEN BUT IT WORKS EVERYTIME. I LOVE IT AND SHE DOES ASWELL. best thing about the laptop is that it has taught her four new words she wasnt saying a week ago. so im happy with the product.

My 3 yr. old received this as a Christmas present and likes to play with it on occasion, and while that is all that matters, I feel like this laptop is lacking in quality. I'm usually more pleased with Vtech products, but this 1 was an exception.

Rated 5 out of 5 by helocin Could be Better but my 2yr old LOVES It!
I was bummed that we could only choose from a few pre-approved names to have spoken at the greeting but happy I could have her actual name spelled out across the screen. Also REALLY annoying that only 1 story can be downloaded at once for the storytime feature. But my 2 year old now recognizes all the letters of the alphabet AND their sounds thanks to this little laptop. And like all Vtech toys, it kept her attention for quite a while. I think the age range should be lowered on it though, older kids aren't going to like the super repetitive instructions. Definitely worth the sale price we got it for though!!
