When it comes to photography, the digital era can be a blessing and a curse. Gone are the days of paying for photos to be developed and finding out they were too blurry or featuring some random object (i.e. the floor or inside of your purse). Gone are the days of stacks or boxes of photos that you’re sure you’ll get around to putting in albums….someday!

my 3 year old loves to take pics of EVERYTHIHG and always wants to use my phone to do so, so santa got him his own for Christmas. He was SO excited to see it when he opened it and takes it everywhere he goes. Even my 11 year old likes it. Its easy to use and very durable. The battery durration could be a lot better, but thats what rechargables are for. All and all, he loves it.

Purchased this camera for my 4 year old. If your child has ever used an iphone, ipod or any other camera phone, this camera will fall way short of expectations. The technology behind the camera is totally antiquated. My old flip phone 10 years ago took better pics. again, if your child has low - or no expectations or is not tech savvy, this may work well. If you have an old camera that you dont use, better off giving that to your child. At least they will be able to see the fruits of their labor. Take away - do not buy.

My son was SO excited to receive this camera at a church event! Used it for as long as the batteries lasted (which wasn't long) and had me download lots of pictures. After we replaced the 3rd set of batteries, however, the camera has ceased to function-even when plugged into the computer-won't power on when unplugged and when plugged in we get a "Program version incorrect" notice and the camera shuts down with no assistance on how to fix. I've tried several "solutions" I've found on the Web with zero success. We've owned V-tech electronics with no problems before-too bad his favorite was such a dud.

My son loves taking pictures so this was pefect for him! As for batteries, buy rechargeables! That's all we use in our electronics, that way there are usually a set charged and ready to go :)

I bought this for a 3 year old girl and it has lasted through 4 kids over 4 years. It only stopped working when I stupidly hooked it up to a MAC. The new version is compatable with both PC & MAC. It has been thrown, stomped, lost under furniture, left in hot car and still took quite good photographs. The only con is that you really have to explain to kids how to hold still to take a not blurry photograph. Once that concept is understood, I think the photos are just fine.

My 5 year old loves this. I wish there was a few more games you could buy online or something because he likes the games. This is a great product for [$]. It does eat batteries, but what doesn't? And it doesn't come with a USB but would you really think it would for [$]? Besides, I have at least 3 USBs in this house that fit this camera, same cord as a Kindle. He loves taking his own pics and videos and doing all the creative things with them. And for the price you don't worry as much about them losing it or breaking it. It is also very durable.
