I bought this for my 4 year old daughter so she could take her own pictures and even after going through all the settings, I couldn't get a good steady picture. The picture was dark and blurry! I'd rather spend the money on a regular camera and have better pictures for her to have. This camera was a total waste of money. Don't bother buying this. If I could pick NO stars for this, I would. Rated 4 out of 5 by really enjoy this we have had this for over 2 years my daughter now 6 1/2 still uses offten mostly to make us look funny or to record herself talk all of the poor ratings made me sad my daughter has used and abused this camera on school feild trips and family events has always been a star attraction December 26, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by The kids get hours play out of it We have two of these cameras - one from Santa last year, and another one for my son's birthday this year. The camera is a big hit in our house, kids had hours entertainment! It's a good size for little hands, easy to hold although my 4 year old finds it a bit tricky to press the camera button while looking at the screen. It is quite sturdy, has been dropped numerous times and it still works ;) Has good selection of photo effects and frames. Both children loved taking videos of everything and everybody. On the downside - image quality is not great, seems to work OK on bright days but indoors with the lights on is hard to see who is on the photo. Games are not great and they barely play them. And I'm not sure how great it is to have a video recording - few times private conversations have been caught on hidden camera by little people - so be careful!:)) Overall it is a good toy, a bit expensive if you consider the quality of photos, but my 4yo and 6yo don't seem to mind, they have great fun playing with the special effects. Rated 1 out of 5 by Mom with twin girls 6 years old I thought this product was going to be a good choice for my twins I bought both girls a camera each. It was hard to see and the pictures were not quality but still they had fun snapping pictures of their family during the holiday. They had fun with the camera until the battery on it died and we can't figure out how to charge it back up or if it has batteries and how to change them. If somebody knows please help. Rated 1 out of 5 by Needs Firmeware Update My daughter is Three, and wants to take pictures, luckily she see a flash occassionaly and it makes her happy. I have tried to take pictures wit hit and they come out poor, and if you slightly move it blurrs. MAYBE A FIRMWARE UPDATE COULD STOP THIS? VTECH ITS IN YOUR HANDS. Until this fix, I would not recommend to anyone over four (4) years old. October 22, 2011
