Rated 3 out of 5 by NotPleasedMom Not worth the money
We brought this for our 7 year old who really wanted a tablet. I wanted to get him something "educational' and since he already has the MobiGo, I figured why not; however there are not that many games available for his age group. He's super smart and the cartridges are gear towards a certain age group (ie. 6-8); which means he got bored real easy. The only thing he really enjoyed was taking pics and making videos. There needs to be more cartridges available for older kids.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jayebird too much money for product, and then the games are expensive as well
My daughter got this for a christmas gift, it has always worked ok..other than the fact that the battery life doesn't seem to last. The screen is stuck on choose name and can't get past it. since this product is touch screen, it is totally useless if you can not get past the name screen. And when I do it gets stuck on making a selection to play..not to mention I could never get it to download the download manager from the internet...

We absolutely love this! I had done research for a learning tablet and we decided for the money and available options, this was the toy. I was surprised at how heavy it was at first. Along with the heaviness, the cost to buy options was surprising. We bought the headphones, reclyclable batteries and AC plug-in. We hope this is a toy they will outgrow. With all toys, making sure your children are taking care of it is important. We monitor how often/long our children play with this. If they had their choice, they would always pick this toy. What I like most is the fact that my girls can have the same games and do not have to share games if I purchase on-line. This ends up being a big savings and reduced headache. Overall, we love this toy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Ashley Good but not great for my kids
Both my 4 year old boy and 3 year old girl received these for Christmas from their grandparents. They both love playing on the iPad so we all thought these would be a good alternative. I did my research on it and on the Leap Pad. I really thought this would be the better choice. However, I have since realized that the device really doesn't come with a variety of games - 2 or 3. And many of the apps are really for older kids - not for my 3 and 4 year old. They often get frustrated with it and want to play with the real computer instead. I feel if they were older, perhaps, they may be better able to play with them but no matter how much I help them, they just don't have the patience to figure out how to play with them yet. I can say that the Thomas and Friends game that I purchased is a little more age appropriate. And I do like the learning lodge that comes with the device. However, it eats up batteries within a couple of days - and my kids only play with them maybe an hour a day? I highly suggest buying the wall adapter so that you don't waste so many batteries. The car adapter is also a good buy to go with it if you go on the road. I was really a little irritated that one of those didn't come with the device. Overall, the device isn't bad. It's a great alternative to your kids playing with your expensive iPads. However, it's my opinion that they aren't best suited for kids under 5. Most of the games and apps are really geared toward the older kids. If a bundle package is offered with the adapters, go ahead and spend the extra money because you'll see that you'll need them anyways. If it wasn't for those few bad aspects, I'd definitely give it at least 4, maybe 5 stars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Super Mom Battery Drainer
You have to pay for everything havent been able to find free apps other then the 2 they give you wich arent really good. However the prices arent that bad. Does not turn off if its been idle instead drains your battery and doesnt have a wall plug only a computer plug that imports info and doesnt allow you to operate it when its plugged into computer. Easy to use and easy to lose the little pen too maye thats why they give you 2.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Mich Screen Does Not Light Up
My son had Innotab 1 and it still works great. I bought him Innotab 2 for Christmas and after two weeks of use, the screen is blank. Sound is heard and the touchscreen works but you cannot see anything on the screen. I am hoping it is just a bad batch since we have had a good experience with the previous Innotab. Will call and get authorization to return it. My son is devastated.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mom2boys Delete Function Is Still Too Easy to Do
Purchased the original Innotab last year for my twin boys birthday when they turned 4. They loved it, but the biggest problem I had was their ability to delete the programs. Sure, I could go back into the Learning Lodge Navigator and put them back on, but it turned into a game for them. My one son would laugh hysterically with a big grin on his face and say "I'm deleting it". Needless to say I was thrilled to read that the Innotab2 had a function that made it difficult for them to delete downloaded items. Because of that feature alone, I upgraded them for Christmas. Within a matter of a week, my one son has already figured out, once again, how to delete things. He went from having 5 videos to none and I just got finished downloading them again for him. I really wish there was a way for Vtech to allow downloads to only be deleted via the Learning Lodge Navigator and not on the Innotab itself. Or as my husband suggested, having to put in a 2 or 3 digit code that the parent creates to prevent downloads from being deleted. Other than that flaw, I think it's a great product. They bring it everywhere and people are amazed at everything it can do. Within a week of purchasing the original Innotab, I went out and got rechargeable batteries. I have a total of 16 so we are never without batteries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by #1 mom too simple
This is already too easy to use! Not only is it educational, entertaining, simple, and most importantly affordable, it just dont get much better than this. Besides the batteries you have to replace once in a while there is a charging cord you can plug in anywhere in your car, home or anyplace else theres an outlet. I will continue to use and purchase this product like theres no tomorrow. Thnk you to all people that have put their time into making and creating this for children everywhere. We as parents owe you!!
