Rated 4 out of 5 by Mom of 4. Great starter system!
Got this before my Daughter was born. She started to really play with it about 13 months old. I sometimes put it in the watch mode and she has learned some words from the repetition while she is playing with her other toys.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ava Wonderful for Autistic Children
My step daghter got this gift from her Aunt when she was Young, she was nto interested in it. we have since then discovered that she has autism. Just recently we got it back from grandma(left it there for use at ehr house but was never used) and we hooked it up. She is not talking yet at the age of 4 but since she stared playing with this again she hass begun to say her number. I woudl recomend thsi for any one with a special needs child. it will help with interaction adnlearning for them :0)

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jenn Love it now my son is older
I got this for my son's first birthday. He was not really interested with it at first. He would play with the control without the games. I think it was too advance for him at one, so we just put it away. I completely forgot about until he was 2. But he loves playing with it now. He always says the color and shape when he presses them. But the counting only goes up to 5 and which he can count to 15. I think now he is too advance for the games. So i guess it is time to but a more advance system, I just wish we could have played it more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Her Mom Interesting as child gets older
Introduced this to my daughter at 13 mos after receiving it for her 1st birthday. She didn't understand what to do at that point. She played with it more alone than with the tv. Now, at 18 mos she was more inept to play it with the tv. She played with it for about 10 min before her busy self went on to something else. I will keep reintroducing it to her as time goes on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Patita37201 Great Game System
My grandson has played with the system for 3 years and likes it very much. I have purchased most of the games for it so he does not get bored with the same ones. Now it will be used by his one year old sister since he is almost 4 and will be getting another system for his age group.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mustang Mommy More for kids 18months or older
My sister bought the Vtech for her 15 month old son, and he is not interested in it at all. My 2 1/2 yr old daughter loved playing with it at first, the controls are perfect for her and she knows what to do with them all, but the games were not advance enough for her. The game counts only to 5, and she can count much higher. I think the game is a great concept, and would get much better reviews if games were made for older children..

My mother in law bought this for my daughter as a birthday gift and i was so excited to get it all set up and have her play with it but it turns out thats shes not even interested in it. She sat there and played with it for a few moments then walked away. its very boring for her and thats not cool.

Rated 2 out of 5 by proud mother of 2 A Little disappointed
i bought this for my 9 month old. she wasnt very interested in watching the screen at the time. so i waited for awhile. the "games" are not really "games" and she got bored with the activites very quickly. She was not impressed. I was hoping for something much more engaging then this. She enjoys flash cards much more. I am hoping that my younger child will be more interested in it. i am going to try and get games with characters they like.
