Content ninja, social media strategist, blogger, VTech Mom - Pilar Clark has been called them all. Working in advertising and digital media before either one picked up the social part eventually led her to collaborate with VTech Toys, where she leads community outreach and social networking initiatives across Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Flickr and Google + in partnership with the marketing team. Building VTech's fan base has depended largely on her ability to identify the latest parenting and social media trends, in addition to tracking blogging culture, and translating all of it into engaging conversation across the internet on the company's behalf. An award-winning writer, Pilar graduated from Saint Mary’s College with a B.A. in English Writing, and additional concentrations in Communications and Spanish. She joined the original blog movement in the mid-millennium with two original parenting columns for a Chicago Parent magazine - one covering must-have baby, toddler and kid finds; and the other featuring exclusive celebrity interviews with some of Hollywood’s hottest actors, chefs and authors turned parents. She is a freelance contributor to sites like Cool Mom Tech, Yahoo!, Modern Mom and Disney, and her work has appeared on Celebrity Baby Scoop and Babble. An avid photog, Pilar and her Canon have photographed Prince William and Kate Middleton, the cast of Twilight and Prince Edward Island’s Green Gables, just to name a few faves. A Chicago native, Pilar and her husband Jeff live in the Chicago suburbs with their two children - one who's crazy about Disney-Pixar's Cars, Thomas & Friends, and his InnoTab; and the other who hearts Disney's Tangled, Tinkerbell and her (pink) MobiGo.
